Bar-none captures the essence of New Zealand skateboarding at its finest. I had no goal with this project. Every second that I wasn't caught up on school was used going out and filming. Our team was so big that I was stretched pretty thin, filming multiple skaters at a time. After about 2 years, I finally had enough footage to release the film and we decided to host my first premiere at Def Store. It was the most surreal moment of my life when we went to grab a drink from the dairy to find a group of people waiting to watch the film. That group grew and grew until the whole shop was filled out. After this moment, I was fully hooked and ready to make filmmaking a career.
